Our holiday cottage is situated at the edge of the village. The old farm stables (grade II listed) in the front courtyard of the farmhouse were converted in 1995 into Sherwood cottage. The cottage has its own secure garden with garden furniture and barbecue. There is shared use of our outdoor heated swimming pool, protected by gates, from May to September. Swimming towels are available. There is parking for up to 5 cars. The cottage is furnished to a high standard and includes: a large dining room with a table that sits 10-12 and living room that seats up to 12; large flat screen TV with SKY/DVD/CD, broadband internet access, washing machine, clothes dryer, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob and central heating. Bed linen and bath towels are provided. Come and enjoy our gardens, make friends with our horses, and feed our chickens and ducks who will be happy to provide you with fresh free range eggs if you can get past the cockerel! We can also arrange babysitting and catering. |

Our two cotswold holiday cottages are perfect English country cottages and Cotswolds accommodation ideal for weekend breaks or romantic getaways situated Cotswolds with heated outdoor pool. The old farm stables (grade II listed) in the front courtyard of the farmhouse were converted in 1995 into Cotswolds accommodation, Charters and Sherwood for weekend breaks or romantic getaways. Both have their own secure gardens with garden furniture and barbecues. We have turned the rear courtyard into a peaceful garden with a fishpond and formal stream, to which all three English country cottages have access while on your weekend breaks or romantic getaways. There are gates between this courtyard and the cottages, which can be closed for toddlers safety. There is shared use of our heated outdoor pool for weekend breaks or romantic getaways, also protected by gates, from May to September. Swimming towels are available. There is ample parking.All three cotswold holiday cottages are furnished to a high standard and include: central heating, TV, video, mini CD system, hairdryer, washer dryer, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven and hob. They have large comfortable living rooms with dining areas. Bed linen and bath towels are provided. Fresh free range eggs are available from our chickens (and sometimes ducks). We can also arrange babysitting and catering Depending on the size of your party, we have a choice of 3 cottages: 1. Charters - sleeps up to 4 people1x Double room - 1x twin room - 1x bathroom 2. Sherwood - sleeps up to 6 people2x double rooms, one with en-suite bathroom (*) - 1x twin room - Second bathroom (*)(*) Both bathrooms have pumped showers over the bath3. Mettingham - sleeps 8-10 people 2x double rooms, one with en-suite shower room 2x twin rooms, one with en-suite bathroom (*) - Third bathroom (*) - Double sofa bed - This cottage is all on one level(*) Both bathrooms have pumped showers over the bath What's on Shipton Moyne is a small village in the South Cotswolds surrounded by beautiful countryside with many lovely walks. The village is within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is itself a conservation area. Our excellent local pub, 'The Cat & Custard Pot' is 150 yards from the cottages, and serves food at lunchtimes and evenings. Westonbirt Arboretum, home to the national collection of Acers and Willows, set in 600 acres of parkland is a couple of miles away, as are the market towns of Tetbury and Malmesbury. Badminton Horse Trials is held just down the road. There are many historic houses and gardens to visit in the area. Also within easy reach are Bath, with its famous Abbey and Roman Baths, and the Roman town of Cirencester. Westonbirt Arboretum - The arboretum, with it's cafe and gift shop, is open throughout the year. Lovely for walking whatever the weather. Dogs are allowed in most of it. Cheltenham Gold Cup Week - Cheltenham is within 1 hours drive from Shipton Moyne. During Cheltenham Gold Cup Week accommodating is soon gone - book early to avoid disappointment! Badminton Horse Trials - If you are competing or planning to visit Badminton Horse Trials we are the ideal location for your stay (15 mins drive). There is ample parking for cars and horse boxes.
